A little about the man behind it…

Hi, I'm Jeremy! I grew up in small-town rural Minnesota, where corn and cows come from and the mosquito is the unofficial state bird. I left that small town when I was 19 to join the Marine Corps. Thus began my journey of discovering the breadth and depth of the world outside as well as the one within myself. I was stationed in Okinawa Japan and I was lucky enough to travel to quite a few amazing places during that time. As a Recon Marine and Scout/Sniper I was afforded opportunities to learn the hidden arts of being very sneaky and making steel go "ting!" from very far away. It was truly a blast! I've spent a good amount of time in both Iraq and Afghanistan, making sure my brothers came home safe. Though those experiences feel like a lifetime ago now, they shaped who I've become and I wouldn't trade them. After coming home for the final time, I decided I had an opportunity to find a new passion. I knew I wanted to work with wood, and it had to be something that required meticulous detail - something that required patience and perfection. I found that in finishing carpentry and I've loved the process of getting good at it.

Outside of building beautiful custom woodworks, I have many hobbies. Foremost is rock climbing! My climbing partner and I summited El Capitan a couple years ago and it remains the pinnacle of my climbing career. It is one of my proudest achievements and I cannot wait to do it again! I also love climbing ice and backcountry skiing - it was the trifecta of rock/ice/powder that brought me to Durango!
